Turning marks into measurements.

Our team provides hydro-excavation for design teams and contractors across Colorado. We expose underground utilities so you can see depth, size, material, and condition — then restore the surface.

What we do

Potholing — also called daylighting — uses pressurized water and vacuum to expose buried utilities without damaging them. Soil and slurry go into the tank; the line stays intact.

Designers use it to help map underground utilities which allows them to engineer the plan-and-profile before projects go to bid. Contractors typically use it to find buried utilities in the field before they dig so they can avoid damages and work stoppages.

We find the utility, document what we find, backfill, and restore as needed. Not just a hole in the ground.

What we don’t do

We bring the potholing but do not provide survey or stamped drawings. We typically work as part of a team to get the full SUE package completed. We do not sell private utility locates. We only work with natural or clean dirt, we do not work with contaminated soils. More in our FAQ.

Who this is for

We work for design and engineering firms that need plan-and-profile test holes before design locks, for general contractors who need utilities confirmed in the field so crews stay safe and work keeps moving, and for contractors who need a non-destructive method to remove materials in sensitive or hard to access areas.
